King’s Day Is On!

Saturday April 26th, 2025

Admit it. There's no better way to experience King's Day than to experience it on a boat!

This year we are offering exclusive public & private tours up to 10 passengers.

These tours will last 3.5 hours. The cruise time will be 11:00 - 14.30, but we a 30 minute start earlier or later could be possible. Just ask!

As usual with TDBG, you're encouraged to bring anything and everything to eat, drink and smoke, if you’re so inclined! Plus, we'll get your Koningsdag celebrations started off right with the first 50 beers (or equivalent) on us!

For private tours, the total cost will be €1000 (drinks included - more information below). For public tours, the total cost is €100 per person, with 6 drinks included (see below).

Please note: For public tours to run, we will need a minimum of 5 passengers.

How long and how much?

Well, if you didn’t read above, we’ll cruise the canals for a 3.5 hours. We do public tours and private tours. The total cost of private will be €1000, with drinks included (see below).

The total cost of public tours are €100 each, with 6 drinks included.

What drinks are provided?

You’ll be welcome aboard with your drinks of choice. On King’s Day, we have a typical Dutch Bar. To keep things simple, we’re using a credit system:

Private tour - 50 credits total

or

Public tour - 6 credits total (each)

Beer (Heineken can) - 1 can

  • Soda (Coke, Sprite, Fanta) - 1 credit

  • Wine (bottle: Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon, Chenin) - 8 credits

  • Water (still or sparkling bottle) - 1 credit

Please send us your drink preferences before the cruise. Want more? We charge 2.50 per extra credit. The sky is the limit!

Do you do public tours on King’s Day?

Yup. Check our public tour page. Nothing there? Send a message through our contact page!

Where do we meet?

IMPORTANT NOTE: PICK UP WILL BE AT BICKERSWERF 2!

Due to canal closures, you will meet at our overnight harbour near the neighbourhood of Haarlemerbuurt, a 15 minute walk west of Amsterdam Central Station.

Enter the Blue Gate located next to the restaurant "Tasca Bellota"

Heads Up: The gate may be locked, but a TDBG crew member will be nearby to let you in.

Where’s The DROP-OFF Point?

Nearby our bar, Café de Knoop, Prinsenstraat 5, 1015 DA Amsterdam

Can I bring My Own food & drinks?

Of course! Our private & public tour package is stocked with plenty of boozy and non-boozy deliciousness, though if you want spirits, best to bring it yourself. We got shitty plastic cups & ice-cold ice for ya.

Can I smoke?

On our tours, it’s always possible. If you’re cool, the captain’s cool too.

Do we have a toilet onboard?

That is a good question! Bathrooms are to King’s Day as male nipples are to nursing a little of kittens — too few, and not very effective. That’s to say: there are no toilets on our cozy boats, but there are toilets at canal-side cafes… or in the homes of entrepreneurial toilet-owning locals. Expect to pay a euro.

What if it rains?

Bad weather? In Amsterdam? Never heard of it! But seriously — while Spring’s been amazing so far, we’re prepared for anything. All boats have stylish transparent roofs with roll-up windows: open and breezy in the sun, dry and snug if it rains, with a full 360 view either way.

What route will we take?

Ironically, King’s Day, a day that has come to symbolize the immense freedom and individualism for which Dutch culture allows…is also a day with an immense number of freedom-loving asshole individuals in your way, limiting our movement on the water. True as that might be, you’re all there to celebrate, so you’ll have a blast cozying up to the other boats on the canals, or cruising along, enjoying whatever party you happen to be passing. See the map below if you’re curious about what routes are possible.
